Procedure for the registration and licensing of private companies with the Astana International Financial Centre
We are happy to announce that Zakon.kz has published an article prepared by Tair Kulteleev, Associate and Head of Registration Department of AEQUITAS. The article is dedicated to the issues of registration and licensing of private companies with the AIFC.
Just a kind reminder that the previously published article prepared by Tair presented an overview of the key organizational legal forms of companies registered with the AIFC and other important aspects of the companies' activities in its territory.
In this overview, the author attempted to summarize the available experience and share certain specifics of registration and licensing of private companies with the AIFC.
It is worth mentioning that both an AIFC participant and an accredited market entity may carry out activities in the AIFC territory.
Status of a participant is acquired by way registering physical presence, namely, by setting up and registering a new company, or by way of assignment of the status of a recognized company for the companies registered with other jurisdictions, or by re-domiciliation (i.e. transfer of registration of a legal entity from one jurisdiction to another).
However, in order to get admission to carry out financial activities and some other types of services on the financial market it is necessary to obtain a license or the so-called authorization from the Astana Financial Services Authority.
