Kirill Greshnikov shared AEQUITAS' expert view on legal aspects of real-world asset tokenization

On 23 October 2026, AEQUITAS Senior Associate Kirill Greshnikov spoke at the AIFC Community: New Financial Products in Action in Astana during the panel session "Straight talking: New tools for the market development".

In his speech, Kirill shed light on the key legal aspects of real-world asset tokenization: rights of token holders, ensuring of legal validity and protection of rights, key tokenization models, and legal connection between a token and an underlying asset.

Special attention was paid to the growing interest to tokenization and development of the market of digital financial instruments. Together with colleagues, Kirill discussed the implemented and attractive projects, topical market demands and further development opportunities for this sector in Kazakhstan.

Participation in a professional dialogue regarding tokenization reflects expert involvement of AEQUITAS in the development of new financial tools and legal mechanisms required for their implementation in Kazakhstan. Thanks to the organizers for this excellent opportunity to share experiences.
